Default ...help HELP help!!!!...pushing coolant out of overflow or coming from somewhere...

hi all. so i was on here asking about what the reason could be for coolant coming from the overflow hose at an alarming rate and i got told it could of been the radiator cap so i replaced this yesterday and on the drive to work this morning it was fine but when i got to work and turned it off in the workshop and let it sit it still left quite a large puddle on the floor even once the car was switched off i want this to stop as im sick of topping it up every day to stop it from overheating any ideas what this could be and how go about fixing it i have no obvious leaks from hoses and i flushed the radiator out on the weekend so i know its not blocked any opinions would be appreciated...

To quote Mal in a thread from a while back:

(the) issue with bottle is it will allow coolant to flow into the bottle but will block when the cooling system goes to draw coolant back, have seen this many times
Also, what cap did you use, genuine or aftermarket? Are you sure you got the correct one?

If you are not able to easily find the source of leaking water it is best to get a mechanic or radiator workshop to carry out a "leakdown test".

Quick and probably no more than $50, it will pressurise your cooling system without the engine running and will help find any leaks.

If you are lucky, the mechanic may not even charge you for doing this test.
